Honey Themed Shoot – Deans Court, Wimborne

Aug 19, 2013 | Planning, Suppliers, Venues

With the sun pouring through the window it seems appropriate to share this summery photo shoot with you. The honey themed shoot was a collaborative effort between a team of talented local suppliers and the brainchild of Anna Morgan Photography. Anna knew that she wanted to use Deans Court in Wimborne as the backdrop to our shoot and asked me to come on board to assist with styling.

Deans Court, a former Deanery to the Minster, is a hidden gem in the centre of Wimborne.  The estate has been in the Hanham family since 1548 and boasts romantic ancient gardens, containing a Saxon fishpond fed by a chalk trout stream, an apiary, orchard, herb garden, mature specimen trees and an old kitchen garden with a beautiful ‘crinkle-crankle’ serpentine wall.

The apiary inspired us to theme the shoot around honey with yellow being a dominant colour. I set to work sourcing the flowers, items for the tablescape and general props.  It was lovely to work with such a great team of suppliers and to be given complete creative freedom.

I cannot speak highly enough of the following suppliers who helped to make this shoot such a great success:

Photography – Anna Morgan Photography, supported by Angela Ward Brown
Venue – Deans Court
Models – Amy Kibler, Laura Mcmahon and Holly Drinkwater
Flowers – Flowers by Design
Wedding Dresses – Exquisite Bridal Couture
Hair & Makeup Artist – Farida Ghwedar
Styling – RSVP Wedding

Grateful thanks also to Annabel Beeforth from Love My Dress for featuring this photo shoot on her blog back in June. You can read her report here.
